Three arrested in South Sacramento homicide

**UPDATE** HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN SOUTH SACRAMENTO SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

Sacramento Sheriff’s Homicide detectives made three (3) arrests related to a shooting that killed 29-year-old Clifton Keene and paralyzed a 47-year-old female.

Detectives arrested 18-year-old Joe Martinez (see attached photo) and 20-year-old Edward Sabala (see attached photo) for murder. Detectives also arrested 21-year-old Moises Ramirez for accessory.

Detectives believe this homicide was gang related; although, they do not believe the victims were the intended target(s). No further information is available at this time.

ORIGINAL NEWS RELEASE: At approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received numerous calls of shots fired in the 3900 block of 42nd Avenue in South Sacramento. Additionally, the Communications Center received several activations from ShotSpotter, reporting multiple rounds fired in the same general location.
