Davis police officer injured, suspect killed in officer-involved shooting

Davis police officers responded to a domestic disturbance incident in Davis early Thursday morning on Avocet Avenue. Arriving officers found the body of a woman on the ground.

A confrontation ensued with a man at the scene. Officers shot the man who later died at the hospital. Officers also discovered then woman was deceased from unknown causes at this time.

A Davis police officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the confrontation. No other details have been released.
