Laguna Creek High School Student robbed and assaulted after school

On Wednesday afternoon a Laguna Creek high school student was robbed and assaulted at the bike rack after school. The suspect, 18-year-old Daniel Thomas and two others approached the victim and pushed him up against a wall and stole his cell phone. The three then fled on bikes.

According to police, the victim and his family found Thomas near the school. During the confrontation, Thomas slapped the victim and punched a family member. Thomas then left on a bike.

Elk Grove Police were called and were able to identify Thomas as the suspect. Thomas was located riding the bike near his home. He was arrested for felony robbery and battery. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
