Location: 8800 block of Elk Grove Blvd.

Suspect: MWAI, ALTON (AMA, 24, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for public intoxication and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: LOVE, GINA (WFA, 35, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 threw an object at V-1. A child was present during the incident. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #1: RANGEL, JACOB (HMA, 26, ARRESTED)

Suspect #2: VILLEGAS, JOHN (HMA, 33, ARRESTED)

Suspect #3: MARES, CYNTHIA (HFA, 38, ARRESTED)

S-1 (W. Sacramento resident) was the driver and S-2 and S-3 (Woodland residents) were passengers in a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed all three suspects had active warrants out for their arrest and S-2 was on parole. A search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of heroin. All three suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #3: UNKNOWN (UMJ, 16)

V-1 went to meet another person in the above area when S-1 approached V-1 from behind and punched V-1 multiple times. S-1 then took V-1’s property while S-2 and S-3 acted as lookouts. S-1 was described as an African American male, approximately 16 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and had a black shirt covering his face. There was no description for S-2 and S-3.

Suspect: GARCIA, JACQUELINE (HFA, 23, ARRESTED)

Officers responded to the above area regarding a possible impaired driver. Officers arrived in the area and contacted S-1 (Sacramento resident). S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
