It didn’t take long for 2020 get underway for the Elk Grove Police Department. On New Years morning officers responded to call for service regarding a suspicious vehicle in the 7200 block of Laguna Blvd, near the intersection with Bruceville.
Officers located three people in the vehicle.

They were identified as Selveen Prasad (sitting in driver’s seat), Kaitlin Jordan, and James Hur. A record check revealed Jordan was on probation and had an active warrant out for her arrest. As officers were detaining the occupants, Hur stepped out of the vehicle and officers observed a firearm on the floorboard near his feet. All three people were detained. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two firearms, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, prescription medication, marijuana and indicia related to narcotic sales. Jordan was also found to have heroin on her person.
Jordan was arrested for possession of heroin, violation of probation and her active warrant.
Hur and Prasad were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of narcotics for sales, possession of controlled substances while armed with a firearm, and multiple firearm charges. All three suspects were transported to the main jail.
As of January 2, two of the suspects had made bail. Hur was still in custody on $95,000 bail
