Suspect arrested in Elk Grove vehicle theft from October

A stolen vehicle three months ago has now led to the arrest of a Sacramento man by Elk Grove police. 38 year old Richard Vang of Sacramento was arrested on January 3, and charged with four felonies and three misdemeanors.

The vehicle theft took place on October 2, 2019. Police believe that Vang stole the vehicle from the victim’s home and then drove it to another location where the catalytic converter was taken.

Vang was arrested at his Sacramento residence and a probation search turned up burglary tools
