Location: 8100 block of Sheldon Rd.
Suspect: NASIRI, CHEVON (AMA, 40, ARRESTED) S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted during a call for service. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. A probation search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine, heroin, prescription medication, narcotic paraphernalia and indicia related to narcotic sales. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed cutting security tags off merchandise with a knife and detained by responding officers. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: 9200 block of Elk Grove Blvd.
Suspect #1: BRAR, STEVEN (OMA, 42, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: SOTO, VERONICA (HFA, 35, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and S-2 (Sacramento resident) were contacted sitting in a parked vehicle in a vacant business parking lot. S-2 gave officers a false name. Officers learned S-2’s real name. A record check of both suspects revealed both were on probation and had active warrants out for their arrest. A probation search of S-1’s vehicle led to discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: SEIFERT, AMANDA (WFA, 39, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed walking a shopping cart in the roadway and contacted. A probable cause search of S-1’s property led to the discovery of heroin and methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
