The community is invited to celebrate the opening of Elk Grove’s next great gathering space, The Center at District56, during a grand opening celebration on Thursday, January 23 from 4-7 p.m. at the facility located at 8230 Civic Center Drive. Festivities will include a brief ceremony at 4:30 p.m. and light refreshments. Details about the event are available on the city’s website at www.elkgrovecity.org.

Shape Your Future

Join other Elk Grove teens and learn from speakers on balancing your budget/checkbook, applying for scholarships and search for jobs and learn interview skills. There is no cost to attend the event. Lunch is provided and community services credits may be available to those students who attend.

Crack Seal Project

Elk Grove’s annual citywide crack seal project is currently underway. Public Works crews will clean, fill, and seal cracks in different areas of the city to extend the life of local roadways. For a map of where work is scheduled this season, visit the city’s website at https://bit.ly/2GqLvAp.
