The 2nd Annual Elk Grove Restaurant Week kicks off this Monday and continues for 7 days, ending on January 26.

The weeklong event is being put together by Explore Elk Grove, a local group helping to promote Elk Grove as a destination for local residents and tourists.

Last year’s event drew 8 local restaurants. With an additional year of planning, this year’s event has drawn 19 local eateries, with the possibility of more coming on board. The idea behind the Elk Grove restaurant week is to help promote some of the amazing local restaurants in Elk Grove.

This year’s list includes both locally owned small restaurants and familiar chain restaurants as well. Every day some of the restaurants will be offering specials for breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the restaurant. Some will also offer a prix fixe menu.
