Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Elk Grove resident), who was seen holding what appeared to be a firearm in the area of Bruceville Rd. and Laguna Blvd. Arriving officers located S-1 walking adjacent to the school and throwing an object, later determined to be a pellet gun. S-1 was taken into custody, issued a citation and released to a parent.

As a result of the collision, S-2 suffered minor injuries. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and S-2 displayed signs of intoxication. An inventory search of the vehicle led to the discovery of open alcoholic beverage containers. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. S-2 was arrested for public intoxication. Both suspects were transported to the main jail.
