Quick thinking by an Elk Grove Police officer led to the arrest of six robbery suspects early Friday morning.
Officers had responded to a robbery call around 4:30 am in the 9000 block of Bruceville Road. The victim was walking to work when four male suspects approached with what the victim thought was a bat and a firearm. The suspects robbed the victim, who then returned home and called police.
Officers spoke to the victim, who gave them a description of the suspects. The officer recalled driving by a vehicle with a flat tire earlier. Officers located the vehicle with suspects attempting to repair the flat tire. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the victim’s property.
The four male suspects and two female suspects were arrested and taken to the Sacramento County Jail.
