DAY WATCH

Charges: HS 11377 (A)
Location: Elk Grove Blvd. / Franklin Blvd.
Suspect: FILIPPONI, JOHSUA (WMA, 24, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was stopped for jaywalking. A probable cause search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

Location: Elk Grove Blvd. / Franklin Blvd.
Suspect: RAPELJE, ASHLEY (WFA, 34, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted in the above area. S-1 identified herself using the name of another person. Officers discovered S-1’s real name and a record check revealed S-1 had active warrants out for her arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: LOUIS, PRINCESS (BFA, 34, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) and V-1 were involved in verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 hit V-1 multiple times in the face causing a visible injury. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Victim: CVS PHARMACY
Suspect: WALTON, ASHLEE (WFA, 30, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was detained for shoplifting. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: 8300 block of Power Inn Rd.
Suspect #1: GARICA, JUSTIN (HMA, 35, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: BARAJAS, RICARDO (HMA, 24, ARRESTED)
S-1 and S-2 (Elk Grove residents) were known to be on probation and contacted in the above area. A record check also revealed both suspects had active warrants out for their arrest. A probation search of both suspects led to the discovery of heroin, methamphetamine, and narcotic paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
