Sacramento Police Department releases sketch of sexual assault suspect

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for sexual assault.

The incident happened in the evening on February 4, 2020.

Patrol officers responded to the area of 14th Street and G Street regarding a sexual assault that had occurred earlier in the night. The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect brandished a knife and then sexually assaulted the victim. Officers conducted a neighborhood canvass to locate witnesses and surveillance footage. Crime scene investigators also responded to process the scene and collect evidence.

The suspect is described as a male black adult, late 20’s to early 30’s years old, 5’9 and heavy set. The suspect was wearing a black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt with red lettering and black jeans. Detectives now also believe that the suspect had a tattoo on his left knuckles, and puffy cheeks as seen in the sketch.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Anonymous tips can also be submitted using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app.
