S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A consent search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded firearm, not registered to S-1. S-1 wasarrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 hit V-1 with a cell phone. During a separate incident, S-1 had strangled V-1 making it difficult for V-1 to breathe. A search of S-1’s residence led to the discovery of marijuana and indicia related to marijuana sales. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
