Elk Grove investigating two robbery incidents from Tuesday night

The Elk Grove Police Department is investigating to two separate robbery incidents that occurred on Tuesday night

The first incident was an attempted robbery at an ATM in the 5100 block of Laguna Blvd around 9:15 pm. The victim was at an ATM when the suspect approached and demanded the victim withdraw money. The victim was not able to withdraw money and the suspect then pushed the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 40 years old, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The second incident occurred around 10:40 pm in the 9200 block of Laguna Springs Drive. The victim was walking when a suspect approached and grabbed the victim’s purse and ran off. The victim pursued the suspect and was pushed down by the suspect, suffering an injury. The suspect ran to an awaiting car where there were two other males. The first suspect was described as an African American male, 15-17 years old and wearing a blue or green hooded sweatshirt. The vehicle was described as a gray or white 4-door sedan.
