Elk Grove police arrest three in early morning church burglary

Early Friday morning Elk Grove Police officers arrested three suspects responsible for a burglary at an Elk Grove church.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm at a church in the 10200 block of East Stockton Blvd just as a pickup was leaving. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained three people. All were on probation. A search of the vehicle turned up items stolen from the church, a chain saw, gas can and gas edger.

Brian Marshall, Rueben Kottke, and Destiny Garza were arrested on charges of violating probation, theft and other charges.

Marshall was arrested nearly a year ago by a retired officer who observed him stealing a package from a home. Kottke has a long list of arrests from the Elk Grove Police Department over the past few years.
