Suspect arrested in Elk Grove drive-by shooting

Elk Grove police released information that a man wanted in connection with a drive by shooting last Sunday in Elk Grove was already in custody on unrelated charges.

19 year old Alejandro Villalobos, who was already in custody on robbery and probation violation charges, now faces additional charges of attempted murder and shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

The shooting took place around 2:30 pm on Sunday, April 12, 2020 in the 9100 block of Lujan Drive. The victim was shot in the leg suffering non life threatening injuries. A nearby home and two vehicles were also hit by gunfire.
