Officers, along with fire, responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Sacramento resident) who was passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the roadway. Fire arrived and observed a firearm in the vehicle with S-1. Officers arrived and detained S-1. S-1 did not display objective signs of impairment. A record check of the firearm’s serial number revealed the firearm was not registered to S-1. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a hit and run collision. Respondin gofficers located the suspect vehicle with S-1 in the driver’s seat in a parking lot not far from the scene. When officers attempted to contact S-1, S-1 drove his vehicle in the direction of the officers. S-1’s vehicle struck one of the patrol vehicles causing minor damage. S-1 refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit. S-1’s vehicle was found a neighborhood abandoned. Through further investigation, S-1 was
identified and officers learned his residence was not far from where his vehicle was found. Officers attempted to make contact S-1 at his residence several times, however, S-1 would not respond. With the assistance of a police K9, S-1 was found hiding in the residence. S-1 was arrested and then
transported to the main jail.

Officers responded to a call for service regarding an attempted theft from a mailbox. The suspects were seen leaving the area in a vehicle after being confronted by a witness. S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) were located by responding officers driving a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and both suspects were detained. S-2 identified himself as someone else. Officers learned S-2’s real name and a record check revealed S-2 was on parole and had an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was found to be on probation. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of burglary tools, as well as financial documents and mail belonging to other people. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.
