Woman in Friday’s fatal crash in Elk Grove identified

The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the woman killed in Friday’s early morning crash as 45 year old Lashona McIntosh of Sacramento.

McIntosh was a passenger in a vehicle that struck a tree while traveling on westbound Elk Grove Blvd near Costco around 3 am Friday morning. An Elk Grove Police officer came upon the scene while on routine patrol. Elk Grove police do not know how long prior to that the collision occurred.

EGPD officers began lifesaving measures on McIntosh until paramedics arrived on scene. Despite their efforts, McIntosh did not survive the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver suffered non life threatening injuries.

Elk Grove Blvd was closed for several hours as Elk Grove officers investigated the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department, 916-478-8148
