S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Officers responded to a call for service regarding shots heard. Officers arrived and found evidence of shots being fired. Eight parked vehicles were hit by gunfire. No buildings were hit, and no one was injured.

Suspect #2: CARDENAS, SONNY (HMA, 39, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Rancho Cordova resident) and S-2 (Sacramento resident) were contacted during a call for service. A record check revealed S-1 was on parole and had an outstanding warrant and S-2 was on probation.
A search of the vehicle found a firearm, which was not registered to either suspect, and ammunition. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the main jail.
