S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested violating a protective order and then transported to the main jail.

Location: Jennick Way / Paulette Way
Suspect: MCKEE, IAN (WMA, 39, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted sitting in a parked vehicle during a call for service. Officers observed, in plain view, narcotic paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of controlled substances. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

Suspect: COLLINS, MICHAEL (WMA, 41, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when S-1 pushed and threw V-1 onto a bed. S-1 also hit V-1 in the mouth and kicked V-1’s leg. V-1 sustained visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
