Location: 8200 block of Geneva Point Dr.
Suspect: TESFAYE, MIKIYAS (BMA, 27, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Suspect: MEZA, DANIEL (HMA, 21, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated to a physical altercation when S-1 punched V-1. V-1 sustained injuries during the altercation. S-1 was later contacted by officers, arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: TAHER, MOHAMMAD (OMA, 37, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in a verbal argument that escalated when S-1 struck V-1 several times. S-1 pushed V-1 to the ground and kicked V-1. During the incident, S-1 threatened V-1. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Suspect: UNKNOWN (BMA, 17-20)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) approached V-1 after V-1 exited their vehicle. S-1 demanded V-1’s car keys several times causing V-1 to be in fear. V-1 started calling for help and S-1 fled the area on foot. A search of the area was unsuccessful.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
