Charges: VC 23152 (A), 23152 (B), 23154 (A), 23222, 23575
Location: 9500 block of Sheldon Rd.
Suspect: ESPINOZA, SAMMY JR (HMA, 27, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a single vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and was arrested. A record check of S-1 revealed
he was on probation which required an ignition interlock device. A search of the vehicle, incident to arrest, led to the discovery of an open container of alcohol.

Victim: CONFIDENTIAL
Suspect: VASQUEZ, EMMANUEL SR (HMA, 21, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was involved in a verbal argument with V-1 that escalated when S-1 grabbed V-2 from V-1. S-1 then pulled V-1’s hair. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Suspect: MCQUEEN, RHAMEL (BMA, 40, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was observed in the above and known to have an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Victim: CONFIDENTIAL
Suspect: SINGH, ROHITESH (OMA, 25, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was in a verbal argument with V-1 that escalated when S-1 pushed V-1 down to the ground. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

 

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
