Fong Moua was convicted by a jury of 12 counts of child sexual assault. The jury also found the multiple victim enhancement true.
Moua sexually abused six victims over a span of nearly 20 years. The victims are now adults and decided to come forward when they learned that Moua was sexually abusing two other children. Moua was a former Alameda County sheriff’s deputy who was investigated for child sexual assault in 2003. After that investigation he was not reinstated with the department.
Moua faces approximately 250 years to life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for August 27, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in Department 18 before the Honorable Stacy Boulware-Eurie.
