Charges: PC 496 (A), 487 (A)
Location: Bilby Rd. / Bruceville Rd.
Suspect: WERE, DANIEL (WMA, 31, ARRESTED)
Officers received a report of stolen construction equipment. Through the course of the investigation, officers learned the stolen property might be at S-1’s (Elk Grove resident) residence. S-1 was known to be on probation. A probation search of S-1’s residence led to the discovery of the reported stolen equipment. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Charges: PC 496 D(A)
Location: 8700 block of Heritage Hill Dr.
Suspect: ROGERS, ANDREW (BMA, 57, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. A record check of the vehicle’s license plate revealed the vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: 5100 block of Laguna Blvd.
Suspect: HEISE, DYLAN (WMA, 35, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Elk Grove resident) hitting a mailbox with a metal baton. Officers contacted S-1, who was holding the metal baton. S-1 was detained, and a record check revealed S-1 was on probation. A search of S-1’s property led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: Laguna Blvd. / W. Stockton Blvd.
Suspect: RICKEY, JASON (WMA, 44, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Citrus Heights resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a hit and run vehicle collision.
S-1 was located nearby and detained. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and
was arrested.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
