The Old Town Elk Grove Foundation announced today that the 2020
Dickens Faire will be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For nearly 40 years, the Old Town Elk Grove Dickens Faire has been Elk Grove’s official holiday kickoff event. With concerns about social distancing, construction in the Old Town Plaza, and closed businesses, the foundation has determined that this year’s event will be canceled.
“After much discussion, the board has decided that there is no way to safely produce the event this year. We are planning a bigger and better event in 2021 and look forward to hosting it in the newly remodeled Old Town Plaza.” Said Board President, Angela Perry. “We are so sad to lose this year’s event and the holiday tradition for so many families. We wish everyone health and a wonderful holiday season!”
