Charges: PC 243 (A), 236, 148 (A)(1)
Location: 9500 block of Emerald Park Dr.
Suspect: JUVENILE (HMJ, 16, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was in a verbal argument with V-1 that escalated when S-1 pushed V-1 to the ground and pulled V-1 into the residence. S-1 then prevented V-1 from exiting the residence. Upon contact, S-1 was physically resistive. S-1 was taken into custody and then transported to juvenile hall.

Location: 7600 block of Chappelle Way
Suspect: SOR, BRYAN (AMA, 19, ARRESTED)
Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant related to an active narcotic sales nvestigation. Detectives recovered 1.5 pounds of marijuana, concentrated marijuana and indicia related to marijuana sales. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested, issued a citation and released.

Location: Bond Rd. / E. Stockton Blvd.
Suspect: YOUNG, POPE (BMA, 57, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted during a call for service. A record check of S-1 revealed an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 arrested and transported to the main jail.

Location: Auberry Dr. / Calvine Rd.
Suspect: WILLIAMS, GAVRIEL (BMA, 19, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was a passenger in a motor vehicle stop for a vehicle code violation. A record check of the driver of the vehicle revealed the driver was on probation. A cursory search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of firearm. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

 

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
