Suspect: PENNELL, CHAUNCEY (WMA, 44, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. S-1 failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit. S-1 drove to his residence and was detained by officers. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. A record check of S-1 revealed a warrant out for his arrest. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Officers responded to a collision where the driver of one of the involved vehicles fled the scene on foot. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) arrived back at the reported location and contacted officers. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and was arrested.

Location: 8800 block of Aquarius Av.
Suspect #1: HAYMON, ALVIN (BMA, 22, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: CRANDALL, BRADLEY (WMA, 41, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) and S-2 (Sacramento resident) were contacted during a call for service. A record check of S-1 and S-2 revealed they were both on probation. A probation search of S-1 led to the discovery of methamphetamine. A probation search of S-2’s property led to the discovery of methamphetamine, heroin, and a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and S-2 was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and a controlled substance. Both S-1 and S-2 were issued citations and released.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
