Sacramento County dropped to the purple tier in the state’s Covid guidelines

Today the State of California announced that Sacramento was one of several counties that were dropped from the Red tier (Substantial Risk) to Purple (Widespread Risk).

What will change in Sacramento County?

  • Restaurants will need to close indoor dining and only serve outdoors as well as “to go” orders
  • Gyms can only open outdoors
  • Churches can only open outdoors
  • Schools that have not yet re-opened will have to wait until the county reaches the Red tier again

Hair salons, estheticians, massage and nail salons can all remain open.
