Charges: HS 11377 (A)
Location: Elk Grove Blvd. / Elk Grove Florin Rd.
Suspect: ORTEGA, RICHARD (HMA, 34, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check of S-1 revealed he was on probation. A probation search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation, and released.

Suspect: KING, AUTUMN (WFA, 30, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the passenger of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A consent search of S-1’s property led to the discovery of methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation, and released.

Suspect: HERRIMAN, ANTHONY (WMA, 35, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record check of S-1 revealed he was on probation and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. A probation search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a concealed, unregistered, loaded firearm, ammunition, and methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

A parole search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a concealed, loaded firearm, indicia related to narcotic sales, and a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a vehicle involved in a vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
