NIGHT WATCH

Time: 0232 hours
Report #: 21-000875
Charges: PC 211
Location: 2300 block of Laguna Blvd.
Suspect: UNKNOWN (HMA, 21)
S-1 entered a business and brandished a firearm. S-1 left the store with property taken and fled in an unknown direction. S-1 was described as a Hispanic male adult, in his late teens to early twenties, wearing dark colored clothing.


DAY WATCH

Time: 1305 hours

Charges: PC 594 (B)(1), 1203.2 (A)
Location: 9900 block of Kent St.
Suspect: ESPINOZA, GABRIEL (HMA, 35, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for vandalizing property. A record check of S-1 revealed he was on probation. S-1 was then transported to the main jail.

Time: 2203 hours

Charges: VC 23152 (A), 23153 (A)
Location: 9500 BLOCK OF Quaymas Ct.
Suspect: FRANCESCONI, MILES (WMA, 30, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Wilton resident) was the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

 

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
