Suspect: YANG, SOUA (AMA, 30, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a report of an attempt theft of a catalytic converter. S-1 (Merced resident) was contacted and detained. A probable cause search led to the discovery of burglary tools. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-3 (Sacramento resident) allowed V-1 to borrow her vehicle. S-3 asked S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) to get her vehicle back from V-1. S-1 and S-2 located V-1 and demanded the vehicle keys while brandishing a firearm. Officers located the vehicle S-1 and S-2 were in and they were detained.
A record check of S-1 revealed warrants out for his arrest. All three suspects were arrested for various charges and then transported to the main jail.

Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
