Charges: PC 3056, 148 (A)(1)
Location: Grisham Way / W. Stockton Blvd.
Suspect: OLGUIN, FERMIN (HMA, 35, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted during a call for service. A record check of S-1 revealed he
was on parole and prohibited from possessing weapons. A search of S-1’s property revealed a replica
firearm and knives. S-1 physically resisted officers attempts to detain him, and S-1 attempted to flee.
Officers overcame S-1’s resistance and he was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

EVENING WATCH

Time: 1923 hours

Charges: PC 243 (D), 245 (A)(4)
Location: 8300 block of Laporte Way
Suspect: MOHAMMAD, SHAKIB (OMA, 27, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was in a verbal argument with V-1 that escalated when S-1 punched V-1
causing visible injuries. S-1 then strangled V-1. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main
jail.

Location: 8800 block of Halverson Dr.
Suspect: HERNANDEZ, JOHN (HMA, 40, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a report of a burglary. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted in the area and
detained. A record check of S-1 revealed he was on parole. A parole search of S-1 led to the
discovery of burglary tools and a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the
main jail.

Location: 9500 block of Four Winds Dr.
Suspect: AYAZ, AHMAD (OMA, 42, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted during a call for service. A record check of S-1 revealed a
warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
