No major incidents or arrests made.

DAY WATCH

Time: 1545 hours
Report #: 21-003718
Charges: PC 594 (B)(1)
Location: 9500 block of Jaguar Ct.
Suspect: HAMALA, SILIVEINSUI (OMA, 21, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a report of a vandalism. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted and arrested.
S-1 was then transported to the main jail.

 

EVENING WATCH

Time: 1800 hours
Report #: 21-003719
Charges: PC 245 (A)(4)
Location: 8800 block of Sheldon Rd.
Suspect: BEAN, CHARLES (WMA, 58, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was in a verbal argument with V-1 that escalated when S-1 threw a glass.
The glass broke causing V-1 to sustain a visible injury. S-1 was contacted a short time later and
arrested. S-1 was then transported to the main jail.

Location: 9200 block of Elk Grove Florin Rd.
Suspect: WATSON, LUKE (WMA, 28, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was known to officers as having a warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was contacted
by officers in a public place and arrested. S-1 was then transported to the main jail. A search of S-1
during booking led to the discovery of methamphetamine.

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
