Location: 8100 block of Beyer Ct
Suspect: Moriarty, DANIEL (WMA, 46, ARRESTED)
Detectives with the Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant at S-1’s residence (Elk Grove resident)
in relation to an active investigation. S-1 was detained, and a search of the residence led to the
discovery of indicia related to narcotic sales, brass knuckles, and a blunt object commonly used as a
weapon. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: 10100 block of Bruceville Rd
Suspect: PETTAWAY, MICHAEL JR (BMA, 29, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Fair Oaks residence) was contacted during a call for service. A record check revealed S-1 was on
parole. A parole search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested
and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A record
check revealed S-1 was on probation and prohibited from possessing weapons. A probation search of
S-1 led to the discovery of a stolen firearm. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for public intoxication and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: DENNISGILMORE, ISAIAH (BMA, 19, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in a verbal argument that escalated when S-1 threw V-1 to the
ground. S-1 also grabbed V-1’s chest causing a visible injury. S-1 was arrested and then transported
the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
