Location: 8200 block of Laguna Blvd
Suspect: BROWN, SCOTT (BMA, 43, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted during a call for service. S-1 resisted officer’s attempts to
detain him. Officer’s overcame S-1’s resistance and he was detained. S-1 was issued a trespass notice
from the business, arrested, and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: PEOPLES, JACOB (WMA, 29, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was known to have an active felony warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was located
by officers and a record check of S-1 confirmed the warrant for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then
transported to the main jail.

Suspect: FANG, LISA (AFA, 46, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in a verbal argument that escalated when S-1 punched, kicked,
and cut V-1 with a sharp object. V-1 sustained a non-life-threatening S-1 left the residence and was
later contacted by officers. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Location: Lewis Stein Rd / Sheldon Rd
Suspect: LEE, DONALD (BMA, 43, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A probable
cause search of S-1 and S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of a controlled substance. S-1 was arrested
and then transported to the main jail.

 

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
