Suspect arrested in July shooting at Elk Grove parking lot

Yesterday the Elk Grove Police Department announced that an arrest was made in a shooting that took place in the parking lot at El Dorado Savings and Umai Bar and Grill on Grant Line Road. The incident happened on July 29, 2021

Elk Grove Police with the help of the US Marshals arrested 23-year old Edgar Jimenez of West Sacramento. Elk Groce Police also stated that Jimenez and the victim knew each other.

Jimenez is being held on two felony counts, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. Bail is $125,000.
