Suspect: MCCLELLAND, BRIAN (OMA, 47, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in a verbal argument that escalated when S-1 grabbed V-1
causing complaint of pain. V-2 and V-3 are children and were both present during the altercation. S-1
was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: WILLIAMS, LONNIE (BMA, 42, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a vehicle that was stuck on the railroad tracks. Upon
contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety test and
was arrested.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) unlawfully entered V-1’s residence. S-1 and V-1 got into a verbal argument
that escalated when S-1 struck V-1 on their face. V-1 attempted to call 911 and S-1 took the phone.
While detained in the back of a patrol vehicle, S-1 kicked the door causing damage. S-1 was arrested
and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted and emergency protective order against S-1.

Crime Tips Via Text Messaging through “TipSoft”

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
