S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in a verbal argument that escalated when S-1 hit V-1 several
times. S-1 was arrested and then transported to juvenile hall.

Location: Elk Grove Blvd / Elk Grove Florin Rd
Suspect: SHARMA, RAJIT (UMA, 42, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact,
S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment and was arrested.

Suspect: BASS, DESTINEE (BFA, 32, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were in an argument when S-1 hit and stabbed V-1 with a pen. V-2
intervened and was stabbed with the pen. V-3 was present during the altercation but was unharmed.
V-1 and V-2 sustained minor visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: ALCAZAR, MARTIN (HMA, 31, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 (Sacramento resident), who was observed
breaking into V-1’s vehicle and taking V-1’s electric bicycle. S-1 then fled on the stolen bicycle. Officers
arrived in the area found S-1 riding the stolen bicycle not far from the scene and attempted to stop
S-1. S-1 refused to stop and fled from officers. Officers located S-1 and the stolen bicycle nearby and
S-1 was detained. A record check revealed S-1 had active warrants out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested
and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted as the driver of a vehicle parked in a drive thru. Upon contact,
S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety test. A record check
revealed S-1 was on probation and had a suspended driver’s license. A probation search of S-1’s
vehicle led to the discovery of a stolen firearm, loaded magazines, a controlled substance, and narcotic
paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: SALINAS, JACOB (HMA, 24, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Merced resident) was driving a motor vehicle while impaired and would not allow V-1 and V-2,
who were passengers, to exit the vehicle by driving recklessly and at high speeds. Fearing for their
safety, V-1 struck S-1 causing him to stop the vehicle. V-1 exited the vehicle with V-2. S-1 exited the
vehicle, approached V-1 who was holding V-2 and pushed both V-1 and V-2 down to the ground.
Officers arrived on scene and detained S-1. S-1 was arrested and transported to the main jail.

Location: Blossom Ridge Dr / Franklin Blvd
Suspect: JAMES, DIMITRI JR (BMA, 28, ARRESTED)
S-1 (San Bernardino resident) was observed by officers walking around holding a large rock in his
hands. Upon contact, S-1 provided officers a false name. Officers attempted to detain S-1 who refused
to comply. S-1 punched one of the officers in the face and grabbed another officer’s arm, refusing to
let go. Officers were able to overcome S-1’s resistance and was detained. Both officers sustained
injuries as a result of the altercation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #2: JACKSON, CARESSE (BFA, 28, ARRESTED)
S-1 was the driver and S-2 was the passenger (Manteca residents) in a reported stolen vehicle. Officers
conducted a traffic stop and detained both suspects. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
