Children abducted from South Sacramento found safe in Las Vegas

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department announced that two children that were abducted back in August were found safe in Las Vegas.

8-year-old Cheriyah Dizon and 12-year-old Aaron Safrans were last seen playing outside the main entrance of their apartment complex at the 8100 block of Waterman Road at around 6:30 p.m. on August 23, 2021.

In September the Sheriff’s Department announced that the children’s biological mother, Reychel Dizon, was wanted in connection with their disappearance. Dizon was also a suspect in the children’s disappearance two years earlier.

The Sheriff’s Department issued the following statement earlier today
On December 3, 2021, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Detectives, with the assistance of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, arrested Reychel Dizon (37) of Sacramento County on a felony no bail warrant after a 3.5 month long investigation. Dizon was located in Las Vegas, Nevada and booked on 2 felony counts of Child Abduction. Dizon will be extradited to Sacramento County where she will be held at the Sacramento County Main Jail. The suspect’s booking photo is not available at this time. The two juvenile victims were safely reunited with their adoptive family.
