Arrest made South Land Park homicide

Sacramento Police announced today that an arrest was made in the homicide that took place on January 2, 2022.

Homicide Arrest – 5900 Block of South Land Park DriveUpdate: Homicide detectives worked diligently and were able to identify, locate, and arrest a suspect in this homicide. On January 6, 2022, 31-year-old Danthony Chaney was arrested on a homicide charge in Reno, Nevada with assistance from local regional law enforcement agencies. Chaney was booked into a custodial facility in Nevada and will be transported back to Sacramento.

This investigation remains active however detectives believe that there are no outstanding suspects related to this incident. Anybody with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the police department.
