Sacramento Sheriff’s Deputies arrest two brothers for multiple counts of lewd acts with a minor spanning more than a decade

On Thursday the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department arrested two brothers and charged them with multiple acts of lewd contact with a minor, including felony acts of force

NEWS RELEASE: BROTHERS ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE COUNTS LEWD/LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH CHILD UNDER 14 YEARS

On February 3, 2022, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Detectives made a warrant arrest of Israel Manalang (53) and his brother, Hector Canlas Manalang (54). Both brothers are Sacramento County residents.
Sheriff’s Child Abuse Detectives booked Israel Manalang into custody on 15 felony counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14 years of age {PC 288(A)} and 2 felony counts of Lewd Acts Using Force/Violence/Duress {PC288(B)}. Hector Canlas Manalang was booked on 2 felony counts of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child under 14 years of age {PC 288(A)} and 3 felony counts of Lewd Acts Using Force/Violence/Duress {PC288(B)}. There are multiple victims spanning approximately the time frame of 2007 to 2021. They are currently being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail with a bail amount of $1.7M and $700,000 respectively. They will appear in court on Monday, February 7, 2022, to answer for the charges.
