Elk Grove police arrest third suspect in assault on minors and are looking for a fourth

The Elk Grove Police Department today announced they have arrested a third suspect, who is the grandmother of the juvenile suspect and is looking for a fourth subject who is the aunt of the juvenile suspect.

The juvenile suspect and her mother were arrested on Wednesday evening, hours after the incident.

EGPD issued the following press release:

Last night, officers arrested one of the two known outstanding suspects related to the attack that happened on Wednesday. The suspect, 53-year-old Robin Morris of Sacramento, is the grandmother of the juvenile suspect. Morris was booked at the Main Jail on several charges, including Assault with a Deadly Weapon (PC 245 (a)(1)) and Conspiracy (PC 182 (a)(1)).

We are still looking for the second known outstanding suspect, 30-year-old Keynisha Mitchell (photo attached). Mitchell is the aunt of the 13-year-old suspect. Anyone with information about Mitchell’s whereabouts can call (916) 478-8058; they can also provide the information anonymously by going to elkgrovepd.org or contacting Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-AACRIME, using the P3 app, or going to P3TIPS.COM.
