Elk Grove decides to move ahead with zoo proposal

Last night the Elk Grove City Council reviewed the feasibility study on relocating the Sacramento Zoo to a 100 acre parcel near Kammerer Road. The city council voted to extend the exclusive negotiating period with the zoo for two more months.

From the CBS13 story, “Construction of the first phase could cost more than $200 million. A mix of ticket and parking fees, sponsorships, naming rights, city taxes and economic development funds would make up the funding, according to the city.”
