Tip leads to arrest of three suspects by Elk Grove Police

A tip by an observant community member led to the arrest of three people, including one person that was photographed taking a catalytic converter at Delta Shores recently.

The Elk Grove Police Department shared the story on its Facebook page.

A community member flagged down our officers in the area of Kammerer Rd/ Promenade Pkwy to advise them that a catalytic converter theft suspect recently posted on social media, was seen nearby in a silver SUV. Officers made a vehicle stop of the SUV for expired registration and contacted Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lastra and Jade Carter. A records check of the occupants revealed active probation statuses and no bail warrants.

A search of the vehicle resulted in finding two loaded firearms under the center console (not registered to any of the occupants) and numerous burglary tools.
