Two youth sports coaches arrested in separate incidents for inappropriate behavior with juveniles

Two youth sports coaches were arrested in Placer County this week in separate incidents involving minors. One man was arrested by Rocklin Police and the other by Roseville Police. Both men are alleged to have had inappropriate contact with minors they were coaching. Anyone with information on either arrest is asked to contact the appropriate agency.

On Tuesday, September 20, Roseville Police arrested 50 year old Quincey Lee Clark of Roseville for crimes committed against minors. Clark is a wrestling coach within the community and runs a sports training business out of his home, in Roseville.

On Monday, September 3, Roseville Police started an investigation into Clark based on a tip from a community member. Detectives identified multiple juveniles who were victimized while they trained with Clark.

On Thursday, September 15, the case against Clark was forwarded to the Placer County District Attorney’s Office. On Tuesday, September 20, the DA’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Clark, and he was arrested by Roseville PD the same day.

Clark was arrested on several charges including Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a child under 18 years old.

Rocklin Police Department Press Release

On Thursday, September 22, 2022 Rocklin Police Detectives arrested 47 year old Eric James Hawkins of Antelope for crimes committed against minors. Hawkins is a youth athletic coach in Placer and Sacramento Counties. He works with several different youth programs.

The investigation began after the Rocklin Police Department was contacted regarding inappropriate communications between Hawkins and a juvenile who resides in Rocklin. During the investigation, detectives discovered one additional juvenile victim. Hawkins was arrested near his residence for California Penal Code section 647.6(a)(1), Annoying or Molesting a Victim Under 18 years old, and booked into the Placer County Jail.
