Costumes, Cops, Candy and a Cake Walk! Explore Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Police Department have partnered this year to host Hallo- Palooza & Trunk-or-Treat this Friday, October 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the Old Town Plaza. Register online.
This FREE fall family event will include some amazing activities for families including an art station, face painting, pumpkin decorating, a pet costume contest, an all-ages costume parade, and candy distributed from the trunks of Elk Grove Police Department vehicles! 
Tell Us About Your Transportation Troubles The Public Works Department has launched a series of surveys to learn more about your transportation troubles. Provide your input on walking, biking, and traffic conditions in Elk Grove. Your feedback will be considered in the development of the next capital improvement plan (CIP) that guides the construction of public development projects like trails and roadway improvements. Dispose of Prescription Drugs Safely The Elk Grove Police Department and the Recycling and Waste Division will team up for a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day drop-off event this Saturday, October 29 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Police Department (8400 Laguna Palms Way).
This one-day event provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs free of charge and anonymous with no questions asked. Just remove all pills, tablets and capsules from their packaging and consolidate them into one bag before disposal. Needles, auto injectors, or other sharps will not be accepted. More drug disposal options. 
ArtGrove Returns for Dia de Los Muertos Celebration Learn and celebrate the Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with ARTners at a FREE family event scheduled this Sunday, October 30 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at District56. This indoor and outdoor event will feature community altar building, painting and murals, music, and artisan displays. This event is sponsored by the City and the Elk Grove Arts Commission.

Join the South American Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Agencies this Thursday, October 27 from 6:30-8 p.m. at The Barn Café (8976 Grant Line Road) for a workshop about how local planning and management impacts your water supply.
