The Elk Grove Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that involved a pedestrian late Thursday night according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

The collision occurred on Sheldon Road, between Waterman Road and Bradshaw Road. Elk Grove police said, “according to traffic detectives speed does not appear to be a factor; Nor does drugs or alcohol.”
