Two other Cosumnes River flood victims identified

The remaining two victims of the New Year’s Day flooding from the Cosumnes River have been identified.
The first victim found was 45-year-old Steven Sampson of McAlester, Oklahoma. He was found inside a submerged car near Dillard Road and Highway 99.

The second victim, 57-year-old Mei Keng Lam, was found outside of her vehicle just south of Dillard Road on Wednesday.

The third victim, Kathy Martinez 61 of Orland, was found Wednesday evening near New Hope Road in the Galt area. She was found in her vehicle in the flood waters near the Mokulemne River. The Cosumnes Fire Department recovered her body using a boat. Her family told ABC 10 News that she received a call from her son he was stuck and she came to help him. She called her son at some point and told him she was stuck in the water and her phone went dead. Her family found her car on Wednesday and notified authorities.
