Elk Grove Unified closed Cosumnes and Dillard Elementary due to weather issues

The Elk Grove Unified School District posted on social that it will close Cosumnes and Dillard Elementary schools because of weather issues that could lead to flood and road closures.

In the Elk Grove Unified School District, the wellness and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. After meeting with the Office of Emergency Services, continuous monitoring of weather conditions across our District and thoughtful planning to meet the needs of our students and staff, EGUSD officials are following the order from the Office of Emergency Services to close Cosumnes River Elementary School and C.W. Dillard Elementary School effective Monday, January 9, 2023. The decision to close these District schools during these extraordinary conditions was taken very seriously.

Please know that these closures affect Cosumnes River Elementary School and C.W. Dillard Elementary School only. All other EGUSD schools are to remain open.
